- How hot is the hot room? The hot room is heated to 105 degrees for Yoga and 95 degrees for Pilates. With the exception of Wednesday night Yin, and Acro Yoga which are held in our unheated Restorative Room, all classes are held in the Hot Room.
- What are your introductory offerings? Look for the "New to Aware" option on our website. Our Intro Offer is Two Weeks Unlimited for $40. Our Intro Offer non-transferable (no sharing) and non-refundable. After your intro period you can decide which membership option is best for you.
- Which classes do you offer? We offer Hot Vinyasa, Hot 26, Inferno Hot Pilates - with and without hand weights, Hot Yoga Sculpt, Hot Mat Pilates, Hot Slow Flow & Yin, Hot Power Vinyasa, Hot Chakra Balancing & Meditation, Hot 26, Hot 26 Silent, Hot Vinyasa Express, and Hot Yin and Meditation. We also offer Acro Yoga and Yin in our unheated Restorative Room.
- How many classes do you offer? Across 12 different class types, we have 48 classes total per week.
- When should I arrive? Before class, we will be readying the studio, so please do not expect to get in the studio earlier than 15 minutes before class. However, we ask you to arrive at least 5 minutes before class to set up your space by the time class begins, and we reserve the right to give your spot to a member on the waitlist if you don't arrive by 3 minutes before class time.
- How do class bookings work? After you register, you’ll receive credentials via email to get you set up on Momence, which is Aware's booking app. Please sign up in ADVANCE, it is the easiest option. If for some reason you can't sign up in advance, arrive at least 15 minutes before class time. Some classes fill to capacity, so signing up before you arrive is the easiest and option. You can also find our schedule on the Calendar tab at the top of this page and book directly from there.
- How big is the studio? With the exception of our Hot Pilates Plus classes, which can hold up to 48 people, all of our classes in the hot room can hold up to 50. Our unheated room can hold up to 14.
- Can I take any class as a beginner? Unless the class has "Power" in the title, all of our classes are beginner friendly. However, some participants find that starting with the Hot Vinyasa Express, Yin, or Hot 26 class is a nice introduction. If you are looking for a challenge, Hot Pilates is a HIIT style class and is also okay for beginners.
- Where can I park? There is plenty of free parking on Trade Street (street perpendicular to our studio), 9th Street (street parallel to our studio), the parking lot next to Earl's Restaurant (next to our studio), and directly behind the building off Trade Street.
- What is a full-service studio? Aware is the first and only full-service hot studio in North Carolina, meaning everyone receives complimentary mat, yoga mat towel, and shower towel service. You will also receive a cold towel at the end of each class! Please limit your time in the changing rooms after class. We ask that you take no more than 20 minutes to exit the studio. One shower towel per person - if you need more than 1 shower towel please bring your own from home.
- Is the studio ever closed for holidays or bad weather? Please note that our studio observes up to seven (7) closure days per calendar year. This includes the following four major holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, and Christmas Day. In addition, we reserve up to three (3) additional closure days annually, which may be used for inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. These dates will be communicated in advance whenever possible. Thank you for your understanding and support.
At Aware, we practice together — from beginning to end.
We ask that you plan to stay for the full class you sign up for. Because we practice in the heat, leaving early is disruptive to the instructor and everyone in the room and may not be safe for your system. Cooling down is an important part of each class.
If you know ahead of time that you’ll need to step out before class ends, please connect with your instructor before class begins. Approval is not guaranteed. With communication, we can support you. Early departures are only permitted with prior instructor approval, and will not be allowed mid-class. Thank you for helping us keep the space steady, safe, and respectful for everyone practicing. No cell phones are allowed in the studio rooms. The only exceptions are physicians and people on call who clear it with the instructor beforehand.
If you have any questions, please reach us on the Momence app, email membercare@awarehotyoga.com or call 336-231-3137.
